As the largest European cruise operator, Costa Cruises offer one of the largest fleet. Each ship is designed in an unmistakable Italian style with a fine combination of comfort, entertainment and pleasure. Each ship is a destination in itself.On every Costa Cruises ship are installed ‘Self-Service’ touch-screen Kiosks that runs a host of applications to help travelers to select relevant entertainment/pleasure activities & shop online. Objective was:To make the Costa SSK (Self Service Kiosks) easy-to-use & visually appealing.

Costa Cruises is the largest European cruise operator with every ship in its fleet designed in an unmistakable Italian style. Costa Cruise ships are installed with ‘Self-Service’ touch-screen Kiosks that run a host of applications to help travelers select relevant entertainment/leisure activities and shop online. Our focus was on making the Costa SSK (Self Service Kiosks) easy-to-use and visually appealing.

 

Approach

 

We took our design direction from the perfect balance of comfort, leisure and entertainment that each ship embodies. After studying their existing Self Service Kiosks interface to understand the functionalities and flows we proposed visual designs that captured the Costa Cruises brand vision and made for an enjoyable user experience.

 

Result

 

The vivid and classy imagery supported by the intuitive task flows transformed the activity and made for a rich and engaging user experience.
